We will change “manabi (how people learn)” with technology. RareJob Technologies, Inc. is spun off as a subsidiary of the RareJob group.

Accelerating innovation for learning by covering everything for product launch from planning to development

RareJob, Inc. (hereafter, “RareJob”), which utilizes human-related data to develop global talents has spun off its technology division as a subsidiary “RareJob Technologies, Inc. (hereafter, “RareJob Technologies”). RareJob Technologies starts its business on April 1, 2022.

Background

The RareJob Group aims “to realize the world where everyone can unlock their potentials to be valued”. In addition to the online English tutorial service that we have provided since our establishment, we also currently offer PROGOS®, the AI English speaking test, training programs for a global leadership development and online learning services for qualifications.
As mentioned above, various learning services for a wide range of people from pupils to adults have been developed and provided. We need to plan and develop products promptly to take advantage of evolving technology and create new learning products for the future. Therefore, we decided to establish the new subsidiary, RareJob Technologies to consolidate all divisions involved in product development to make decisions quickly and to focus on developing advanced products with high quality.

The vision of RareJob Technologies

Under the mission “Manabi Update”, RareJob Technologies keeps evolving, updating, and improve manabi by technology in the world. We will also provide learning experience without letting people giving up and failing and create learning environment in which everyone can grow by guiding each of them to an individually optimized learning step.
The RareJob Group has been conducting research and development to improve learning efficiency and retention rates of our services by data from more than 50 million lessons mainly. We keep making efforts by RareJob Technologies for new innovations such as PROGOS®, the product born based on these research and development efforts, and the realization of individually optimized learning.

Organizational Structure

RareJob Technologies is the organization composed of engineers, designers and planners as the highly specialized creative group. All necessary procedures for product launch from planning, development to operation are covered by RareJob Technologies, which enables us to take on more technical challenges and make bolder decisions. An office culture in which skilled workers can play active roles by innovating unique personnel evaluation in human resources management will be also established.

In addition, recruitment will be strengthened by aiming to make the organization bigger by approximately 1.5 times by the end of FY23/3.

We will also focus on recruiting human resources in various fields who is a self-learner and can take an initiative to grow our businesses further with data-driven approaches and to create new businesses that will change learning experiences in the world.

Our Management

Experts in different fields are appointed to each position in order to create an organization that embodies “Manabi, Update”.

Hirokazu Yamada, President and Representative Director

Joining Tic Co., Ltd. in 2000, he became engaged in the development of calendar, photo and video services at Yahoo! Japan in 2003. Following this, he joined mediba inc., a KDDI Group company, and served as a development manager for the advertising and media businesses. In 2015, he became an executive officer and CTO. In October 2017, he joined RareJob. He became an executive officer and CTO in 2018.

 

Kentaro Haneda, Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

He joined Yahoo Japan Corporation as a new graduate and was engaged in infrastructure operation improvement and iOS application development. He joined RareJob as the only one mobile developer in charge of native applications (iOS/Android). He is responsible for launching a service using WebRTC technology from planning, development, and operation across Japan and the Philippines.

 

Kazuki Iwahori, Chief Information Officer (CIO)

While working as an infrastructure engineer engaging in infrastructure design, construction and operation in SIer and a mobile service company, he also experienced development as a programmer and project management of web and mobile applications. He joined RareJob in September 2013. By utilizing his diverse perspectives, he has been in charge of design, construction, and operation of services and internal infrastructure as well as API services and was appointed as the head of the infrastructure division in 2019.

 

Daisuke Kanda, Vice President of Engineering (VPoE)

In 2004, he joined in SIer and engaged in the development of next-generation cell phones as an embedded engineer. He has been engaged in various development projects for 15 years since then, mainly in the web and mobile areas. At the same time, he has managed a consulting business for recruiting and training specializing in engineers. After working as a programming school business manager and CTO of an education startup, he joined RareJob in 2021. He is in charge of recruiting engineers and the head of EdTechLab as well.
